About Me

Sam Napolitano

Who am I?

If you found me, I probably applied to your company or you followed one of my many ads or links floating around the web. So I guess your wondering who I am? Well that’s a fairly loaded question. I mean who wouldn’t love to just ramble on and on about themselves for pages and pages talking all about how awesome they are? I’m no different.

Now that I have your attention, let me start with the basics. I am a very passionate and well versed web developer who loves technology. In a word I am a technology freak, I always have to learn and obtain the newest stuff. I am apples wet dream.  I also enjoy applying what I know to come up with really slick solutions to complex problems.

I have worked for the last 5 years as the custom website development manager at Lexis Nexis Martindale Hubbell in the small law custom website division. I currently manage a team of 9 developers and work endlessly to make sure that we are producing leading edge websites that are search engine friendly and using the most current technologies.

My Interests

Besides the basics, I enjoy rock climbing, snow boarding, music, video games and spending time with my family. I have a small vice, which is my home recording studio. I find that I spend endless hours producing, tracking and mixing songs and records for local bands and good friends. I love audio, both from a sonically soothing perspective and a technology perspective. Something about the fact that the best audio equipment to date was designed over 20 years ago really interests me. I have spent many hours learning how to build, test and refit audio equipment. I love it and will chew your ear off for hours if you aren’t careful.

So we did a little exercise a while back for career development. The idea was to capture something you didn’t know about your employee and trying to create an environment and plan that helped them achieve their goals.  So here is what i presented to my manager.

If you’re still reading you may find this an interesting and eclectic way to end this page.

Aspirations

My aspiration is to continue my study on quantum mechanics and the linear relations of space time based on the theory of relativity so that I can one day build a time machine and travel back in time to give my self the winning numbers to the $300m powerball jackpot.

Strengths

  • Firm understanding of the basic theory of relativity
  • Handy enough to build a particle accelerator given the schematics
  • I’ve watched enough scifi to know and understand the butterfly effect in its entirety

Weaknesses

  • None, only the strong survive.
