So after Christmas I was browsing the local CVS and I saw these great Chia Pet Herb Gardens on sale for 8 bucks! So being that I really felt the need to “green” up my cube, I decided to go ahead and buy one. Wow! Let me tell you, I have NEVER seen anything grow so fast. Within days we had little sprouts, but there is a sad side to the story.

As it goes with most things there is life and there is death. We (a few colleagues and I) decided to name all the plants in regard to their herb name.. So Johann Basil, Dillan and C-Money were dubbed.  C-Money and Basil are doing quite well, but sadly even though he started out so strong, Dillan didn’t make it. We had a very small and private funeral, but at the end of the day we knew we had to move on. So he was replace with Parsley Brown.

Im not sure if the planter is cursed or maybe the spirit of Dillan is haunting the office, but it seems that nothing will grow there now.

Ill keep you updated as to how they are doing, no matter what, Dillan will always be remembered.

The Basil is my favorite so I need to harp on it a bit :)

Well being that it was my birthday and I have a lot going on over the next few months, I decided that I should go get that sleeve started before I don’t have a chance to get anything done. I called upon my favorite and only tattoo artist Jamie (Jammer) at immortal ink in Flemington, NJ.

I have known Jamie for a few years now, in fact I got one of my first tattoos from her when she first started doing them at the lions den in New Hope, PA.  She has always done excellent work and she entertains the fact that I over analyze everything. I openly admit that I am difficult in the chair, but I am super happy that I have been able to find someone that can deal with it and that does the quality of work she does.

So that being said, she has started a full sleeve for me. Its going to be a hyper mechanical music sleeve with some guitars and piano type contraptions, lots of gears wires etc.  We started with the guitar piece which I love, and we will be doing some more outlines of the other parts in later February. Until then I hope that you all visit her site, she does some amazing things with crafts that I think everyone should own.

Give it up for Atlantic City NJ. The rest stop in Egg Harbor right before the AC express way has the most amazing junk food hot spot I have ever seen.

At this particularly lovely rest stop on the GSP (Garden State Parkway) one is able to purchase not only 1 terrible fast foot but get 2 different artery clogging goodies in 1 line! WOW, so of course, you have to do it..

I had KFC fries with a double bacon cheese burger from BK, while my good friend Bo ordered up the works. Chicken fingers, a biscuit,  mashed potatoes from KFC and a chicken sandwich from BK.

Give it up for New Jersey and Atlantic City for making all the possible for the low price of (and this is not a joke) $15 a meal. Talk about overpriced coffin nails.

Well what else is going on… The most exciting news is that I am expecting my first little rug rat in the next 8 weeks. Yep, I’m going to be a daddy and I am terrified… not so much of the baby but how I will be as a dad. I hope I can hold it together and be successful as a parent.

I am expanding my online presence, hence the new blog, github, facebook, twitter, and linkedin links. I feel like I need to do this in order to prove to myself that I have a lot of experience and expertise in the web… Sometimes after being somewhere long enough you just start to feel a little burnt and like you are going nowhere. Doing an exercise like this can really change your perspective….
